being a mod

so what privileges and impressionability do people have as being a mod on here?

They get cool mod armor, can ban, kick people from the game. Teleport to people and a few other things i cant remember.

Mods can use ::Jail -- They will not be able to ban players

Fox, don't you think you should review people getting mod so easily? I'm sorry but I don't think contributing something of like $15 for Mod or Admin is acceptable. That's one of the reasons Billy took out getting Mod from advert. I clearly explained to him that people doing a few hours of advert getting mod is just not something that deserves a staff position. In a such similar case, I'd dearly appreciate if any staff could review this. Perhaps they could have a donator area and donator's could receive such privileges ranging from getting custom items to shops or what so. Mods, Admins, or any staff position for that matter should be earned with dedication. Helping newbies and contributing towards the server would include. I'm not sure which staff member said that a donator area, and shops wouldn't be a bad idea, but even though it would be a little bit of extra work in developing the area and shops I think it would be a great idea. I know that if we could strive to achieve this, it would make the server a better place. I assure this because, if we can do major updates to the server which are currently taking place I'm pretty sure that the donator shop wouldn't be a tenth of work. If it were to exceed that amount I do apologise. In a brief summary. I know most staff members earned their positions throughout doing deeds like coding till recently, but now the majority of staff members are receiving the position through donating. People donating for staff position actually shows that the person just wants the staff position, where as a donator donates and doesn't get a staff position, but rather for his generosity he gets rewarded with shops and items exclusive to some players. I'm sorry for the harsh comparison metaphorically but that's just my opinion. It would be a gem if this could be reviewed.

As said before, server hosting is hard on bandwith, which does cost money. People will not donate for nothing.
donations contribute to finally buying a VPS that the server can be hosted on so there will be no more outages, and it will run a lot faster than it is now.
Only one person has been made staff from donating/rewards. He donated 20$ Of corse I have to split with fox and all, but thats 10$ for me closer to 30$ witch is how much a Vps costs a month.
Yes i may want to make it were people "buy" Staff instead of donate. And people can donate sepratly for donor shop.
Point is, people that give money for a staff posistion will not risk being demoted for abusing powers considering they had just payed money for it.

With that being pointed out, and us now having a donator rank, if someone wanted to buy a staff position I think it should be pumped up to around 60$

If we lifted it to a price like that then we'd have fewer and more dedicated staff. As well as enough to host the server

P.S. Weren't you there when I told you in-game that I was working right then and there on a new staff area and Donator store / Donator area.

srry ko if i offended you at all donating to become a staff member. it is just something i really would enjoy doing and i dont mind helping out a server that is willing to make me a staff for donating; isnt that what being a staff is about helping out the person that gave you that rank lol.
